Founded in 1979, the Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is one of the oldest stages of the professional surfing circuit and the heart of surfing development in France and Europe. The contest is an institution through which the public discovered Kelly Slater in 1994, and it makes it possible to discover future European stars by bringing them together with the best surfers in the world. The event is organized in collaboration with the World Surf League.
As part of the supporting program, Vertical Technik AG built a spine miniramp with a width of 9 m and an extension. The Lacanau Pro Spine Attack Skate Contest was held on it from August 19 to 20, 2022. Some of the world’s best skaters rode their sessions on Vertical’s miniramp. With the best weather and many spectators, this event was a complete success.
