Following an initial project built in 2019, the city of Cernay renewed its confidence in Vertical Technik AG as planner and construction manager to expand the skate park. This new project is specifically designed for children and beginners.
Following a workshop, Vertical proposed an innovative design: a concrete track consisting of small banked turns, a quarter with hip and roll-in, an inclined plane, and a curb. Children can learn to roll, turn, or jump here. These elements are small enough and not too steep to facilitate learning. This area is separated from the large skate park to avoid conflicts with older users.
The opening of the new Kids Concrete Skate Park took place on September 10, 2022.
