The opening of the new concrete skate park in Schopfheim took place on September 30, 2018. The location is at the Schopfheim S-Bahn West stop. The 700 m2 skate park, which was planned by Vertical Technik AG from Frenkendorf and built by Maxi Häring from Munich, was tested until late in the evening. The skate park features a bowl, a triple set with handrails and hubbas, an A-frame and a manual pad with a slappy curb. The facility was planned together with local skaters and the youth parliament in workshop mode with Vertical. For the construction, 180 cubic meters of concrete and 4 tons of steel were used. The new skate park has been met with great enthusiasm by users. Despite the huge rush on the opening day, the atmosphere was great.

Jacob, 23, Schopfheim: The system is fantastic. It’s really cool that it worked out after so many years. I was able to be involved in the planning and I have to say: the park has turned out better than we could ever have dreamed of. In my opinion, this is the best skate park in the area. For example, every element can be ridden in more than just one way – it’s super versatile. And we have a bowl, which is super cool. It’s the only non-commercial skate park in the area. “Badische Zeitung from 1.10.2018”

Kalle, 14 years old, Schallbach: “ It’s a really cool park here – it’s great fun and free. The track is really good to ride: It gets really fast, you can jump really well. It’s a bit busy at the moment, but it’s fun. “Badische Zeitung from 1.10.2018”

Vertical Technik AG would like to thank everyone involved for the pleasant cooperation!
