The Verney Sports Center has been a sports hub for 40 years with its ice rink, soccer and tennis courts, and an athletics track. It has been undergoing changes since 2014. In the spring of 2023, the city of Monthey launched the second phase of construction, which will take about a year and require an investment of 9.3 million. The site will include a bicycle education area, a traffic practice area, a sports discovery area, a skate park, a pump track, soccer, street basketball and beach volleyball courts, an urban training area, as well as areas for socializing and water games. Vertical Technik is contributing to the project and will be building a concrete skate park.
