On November 5, 2022, a modern sports facility behind the gymnasium of the Montalin-Quader school building was officially opened. The newly built leisure facility was created through workshops led by Vertical Technik AG with the involvement of the school’s sports teachers, as well as local and professional athletes. The specialist planning and execution planning were also taken over by Vertical Technik AG.
The former, outdated outdoor facility behind the gymnasium is making way for something new. A high-quality offer for school sports and the public has been set up, which is also available outside of school hours.
The highlight of the leisure facility is the first parkour facility in the city of Chur. The goal of parkour is to move creatively and efficiently over bars, walls and other obstacles. A street workout facility was added as an ideal complement. Here, exercises are performed using your own body weight.
From pull-ups on the street workout to giant jumps on the parkour facilities, anything is possible. “The Quader-Montalin backyard has become a meeting place for all sports enthusiasts from Chur who enjoy exercising or just want to watch.”
