Bellinzona hat einen neuen Betonskatepark. Darauf haben die Skater aus dem Kanton Tessin viele Jahre gewartet.
Die Vertical hat das Design und das Konzept mit lokalen Skatern im Workshops Modus entwickelt. Im Juni 2018 wurde das Projekt in nur 4 Wochen komplett gebaut. Die Erdarbeiten und die Grobformgebung wurden zuvor durch eine lokale Baufirma ausgeführt. Kurzfristige Optimierungen wie ein Wallride konnten dank der Offenheit des Kunden umgesetzt werden.
The skatepark features a central green area with plants and concrete surfaces at various levels that extend around it. A quarter pipe and a bank serve as entry elements. Between these are pyramids, curbs, a rail with a gap, and two stair sets with a rail and hubbas. Details made from local materials give the skatepark a unique look. Polished granite as the finish for the manual tables and unique curb designs enhance the park, making it unique in the region.
