Vertical has built the first kids’ skatepark from on-site concrete in the Sonnhalde housing estate in Adlikon near Regensdorf. Vertical has installed a standard street workout facility right next to it. The two areas are complemented by a multifunctional sports field, a ping-pong table and children’s playground equipment.
Description of skate park: flow park with low banked curve, wave, spine, quarter pipe, bowl corner with two hips, curb, taco, wobble. Concrete benches were installed at the ends of the skate park. The spectator area is fenced off by a steel pipe. The skate park was integrated into the landscape in such a way that no parts of the facility protrude from the ground.
The skate park is partly located above an underground parking garage, which is why a special structure was required under the concrete surfaces. This special structure was created in the area of the underground parking garage without a frost-free layer.
